چکیده
ObjectiveThe effectiveness of endovascular treatment for popliteal arterial injury has not been well-documented. This study was aimed to investigate the midterm outcomes repair traumatic isolated injury.MethodsMedical records patients who underwent injuries from January 2012 February 2020 were reviewed retrospectively. Clinical data including patient demographics, Injury Severity Score, type injury, classification acute limb ischemia, concomitant extremity fracture, runoff vessel status, complications, time procedure, interval blood flow restoration, length hospital stay, reintervention, and follow-up collected analyzed.ResultsEndovascular performed in 46 with injuries. The mean Score 15.8 ± 6.2. overall salvage rate 89.1%. There 10 penetrating 36 blunt (78.3%). initial angiographic findings revealed occlusion 34 (73.9%), pseudoaneurysm 2 (4.4%), active extravasation 9 (19.5%), arteriovenous fistulas 1 (2.2%). Technical success achieved all patients, via antegrade access 24 (52.2%) concurrent retrograde 22 (47.8%). artery restoration 10.6 4.9 hours operative 54.9 10.0 minutes. 36.1 14.5 months. primary patency 75.3% at 12 months, 61.9% 55.7% 48 secondary 92.2% months 85.2% A Cox multivariate analysis that single an independent risk factor loss.ConclusionsEndovascular may be a safe effective alternative select acceptable outcomes. Endovascular Repair of Blunt Popliteal Arterial Injuries
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of endovascular repair for blunt popliteal arterial injuries. MATERIALS AND METHODS A retrospective analysis of seven patients with clinical suspicion of popliteal arterial injuries that were confirmed by arteriography was performed from September 2009 to July 2014. Clinical data included demographics, mechanism of injury, type of injury...

متن کاملPopliteal Artery Aneurysm Repair in the Endovascular Era
To compare outcomes of popliteal artery aneurysm (PAA) repair by endovascular treatment, great saphenous vein (GSV) bypass, and prosthetic bypass.Single center retrospective analysis of patients presenting PAA from 2000 to 2013. Patients were divided into endovascular treatment (group A); GSV bypass (group B); and prosthetic graft bypass (group C). Outcomes were technical success, perioperative...
متن کاملEndovascular repair of a ruptured popliteal artery aneurysm associated with popliteal arteriovenous fistula.
Popliteal artery aneurysms (PAAs) represent the most common peripheral arterial aneurysm and are a significant cause of patient morbidity and limb loss. Complications of PAA include distal embolisation, thrombosis and, rarely, rupture. Whereas open surgical repair remains the gold standard, endovascular exclusion has been demonstrated to be a valid alternative in selected patients. We present a...
متن کاملReview of Surgical Treatment of Popliteal Artery Injury: Outcomes of Open vs Endovascular Repair
Background: Popliteal artery injury (PAI) is the second most common infrainguinal arterial injury and is being increasingly treated with an endovascular approach. Objective: We examined the outcomes of surgical repair of popliteal artery injury. Methods: Patients who underwent surgery for PAI were identified from National Trauma Database (NTDB) using ICD-9 and CPT codes. Patients with severe he...
